Volunteers are needed to rebuild MANNA to a level to enable the program to return to on-site, in-person service to consider aid requests and offer financial counseling. Th, 9:30am-1pm Must be a Port Angeles resident. Help with emergency bills such as utilities, propane, background checks, birth and marriage certificates, class support at Peninsula College, court appointed class fees, credit screening, driver’s license, state ID cards, laundry, medications, storage unit fees, work clothes, monthly bus passes. MANNA provides assistance for utilities, gas/propane, driver's licenses, ID Cards, some medical prescriptions, laundry, work clothes, transit passes, etc,. No help is given for rent or telephones. There are no fees for service. Assistance is limited to $75 in a twelve month period. During this time of social distancing MANNA operates only by telephone. Leave a message at 360-457-3954 and a volunteer will generally contact you on the following Thursday.
Schedule would be rotating Thursdays. Roles needed: reception/intake, interviewer/counselors, leadership for fundraising/PR/Promotion, and make and maintain church connections.
